Payment

Due to the international financial and banking restrictions in force against Iraq, you can hardly use international bank cards (e.g. Visa, MasterCard), so you have to take all spending money with you in the form of cash (USD).


At the time of registration, 10% of the total amount must be paid as a deposit, the remaining amount will be paid upon arrival in cash with 100€ or 50€ EUR new banknotes only, due to exchange rate differences, and the old issued banknotes are not accepted locally. 

Group number

Average number of participants: is 8 - 12 people and the tour will be confirmed at least 2 months before the trip date with reaching 6 participants, we will inform you that the trip has been confirmed, and the deposit must be paid.

Entry Requirements

As of March 2, 2025, Iraqi authorities have suspended the Visa on Arrival program and introduced an electronic visa system for citizens of several countries. The visa fee is approximately $160 USD per person and must be paid online during the application process. Travelers must obtain and confirm their electronic visa before departing for Iraq, as per the new regulations.

Please note: Travelers with passports containing Israeli visas or stamps will be denied entry into Iraq.

Travel conditions

Due to the unpredictable nature of travel in Iraq, your itinerary may change slightly, but we will always go the extra mile with additional additions to your itinerary such as stops at local cafes, shisha lounges, and theme parks.

Travel difficulty

This journey is suitable for travelers with average physical fitness. However, it’s important to keep in mind that for 11 days, we will be constantly on the move in a cultural environment very different from Europe. This can be both mentally and physically challenging at times.

A spirit of adventure, mental resilience, and an open and flexible attitude toward local conditions are essential for this tour. At certain moments, you may find yourself stepping outside your usual comfort zone.

Clothes requirements

Basic hiking and comfortable streetwear are sufficient, no special clothing and equipment is required. For women, elbow-length upper and ankle-length underwear are required, and it is also advisable to bring a headscarf; For men, an elbow-length top and long trousers are the appropriate wear. For ladies, the clothing needed to enter the holiest mosques is provided by us.

food allergies

If you have any food allergies, intolerances, or follow a special diet (such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or others), please inform us before submitting your application. This will allow us to better prepare to accommodate your needs as much as possible throughout the trip.

While we will do our best to assist, please note that in some areas options may be limited. so being flexible is needed. 

Holy cities

Karbala and Najaf are considered holy cities and Islamic guidelines are mandatory, including wearing a hijab and long clothing for women. Upon arrival at the shrines, the abaya will be mandatory in the shrines and will be provided by us. Nail polish and makeup are prohibited when entering the shrine.

Visit the Malawiya minaret, it was built in the Abbasid era and was considered the largest mosque in the world at the time.

Citizens of the following countries need to apply for an Iraqi E-visa by themself, the E-visa comes with mandatory health insurance total of 165$, and it takes 24 hours to process before getting the E-visa by email. 

You will get your visa stamp upon your arrival by air at Baghdad International Airport, Al Najaf International, and Basra International Airport. Moreover, the following nationalities can also get an Iraqi visa on arrival at the borders between Kuwait and federal Iraq, Jordan and federal Iraq, and Iran and federal Iraq.

European Union citizens: (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden), Switzerland, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zeeland, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea and Russia.

If your country is not included in the list don't worry, we can manage a visa for you through an invitation letter.
